      Hi all,

How do I completely remove all traces of any uninstalled package, so I can reinstall and configure it form scratch? Uninstalling leaves the config in the system.

      Thanks!

Delete the related files under /usr/local/pkg if they still exist there and remove the related section under config backup xml file and then restore it.

          Thank you!

Do you know if the config xml can be edited in situ, without having to restore it?

Use viconfig to edit xml but be careful while editing to do not corrupt your xml config file.
