PFsense work in bridge mode
-
Hi all ,
I have an solution for my work , but I'm not sure it can work or not :cisco router –-----trunk----------pfsense( bride mode)-----------trunk-----------cisco router
Can pfsense trunk to cisco router? , what kind of NIC card can do that ? . Can I use limiter to limit bandwidth per ip ?
How to config Vlan on pfsense work with bride mode ?Thanks

I think you mean bridge mode. An amusing yet easy mistake. ;)
In order to do this you would have to setup VLANs on the NIC to correspond with each VLAN in the trunk connection. Do the same on the other NIC. Then setup up network bridges to connect each VLAN pair together internally. You could then add rules to the VLAN interfaces to filter traffic. It would be very easy to make a mistake doing this and end up connecting together different VLANs which would obviously be bad!

Thank Steve . Have you ever do it before ?

No, I have never tried to setup something like that. I'm sure there are people here who have though.
