      Hey Guys,

I've recently swapped over to pfSense here, and I'm just trying to use some of the more advanced features, and I'm wondering if what I'm trying to do is possible.

I've got a few machines here on a network, all with internal IP addresses, they're pulling their addresses/router information from a central DHCP server. For the record, these are all Apple Mac machines. Ideally I'd like to set it up so I can put in a proxy server under the network options on the Mac and let these clients get full FTP access - by specifying the pfSense box as the FTP client only (not as the gateway/router)

I'm just wondering would this be possible at all? I'm connected through the pfSense box now using it as the router, and everything works flawlessly. However if I can set it up by just using it as a specified FTP Proxy instead as of a gateway, it would make my life a lot easier.

The setup at the moment consists of a generic box, one NIC has a live outbound IP address and the other NIC has the same internal IP address range as the rest of the machines on the network.

Is what I'm trying to do possible at all?

      Cheers
