I have two WAN setup since yesterday and I would like to know when one of the WANs goes down. But pfSense doesn't notify about connection loss if I disconnect either one.
E-mail is configured correctly, Exchange server is in LAN. Test e-mails are delivered reliably within one second.

pfSense only sent me notitication e-mail when I was experimenting with gateway group and had both my gateways in it. Then during test disconnect I received an e-mail:

MONITOR: AvonetGW is down, removing from routing group failover

So apparently apinger is able to send e-mails when gateway groups are involved but not without them.

      Or do I miss something?

      I have pfSense 2.1
