Throttling smtp on Mobile Devices

Hey guys

In our company we are using 45-50 mobile device and i use port forwarding (port 25) to send out email. Lately i see than are present brute force attacks against this service.
Is there any kind of defence about this type of attack? If i set deny rules the firewall open always port  :(
