Pfsense syslog catagories

Anyone know how PfSense classifies syslog messages within the Priority catagory? I have Kiwi receiving PfSense logs. I find some errors seem mis-catagorized. For example, logging out of PfSense results in a "User.Error". Why should logging out properly be the cause for an error message. User.Info I could understand as an appropriate catagory. Might these be editble or are they hard coded following some syslog messaging standard?
