      Hello,

I've configured BIND server with "Register DHCP static mappings" on. There are plenty of static mappings in dhcp so bind happily got 'em all. After some time I edited some static mappings: fixed few hostnames. Applied.

Unfortunately bind didn't updated forward zone and old hostnames still were there.

So, there is a question: is there any update (by event or so) should be done internally or I should re-apply zone config each time?

      Thanks.

In the current pfSense bind implementation the static dhcp mappings are only added the zone at the time the zone is saved.

It would be nice is the dhcp dynamic dns 'Enable registration of DHCP client names in DNS' option could be made to work, but so far I've had no success in that regard.

          Exactly!

I wonder if any dev is actually reading this forum …  :-\
