Dansguardian+havp

Hi ,
I want to use dansguardian as a web filter and havp as a virus scanner. I need havp features and it's widget . I can create a port forward rule like the one below for dansguardian:

Interface = LAN
Protocol = TCP
Destination = any
Destination Port = HTTP (80)
Redirect Target IP = 192.168.1.1 (LAN interface)
Redirect Target Port= 8080

but how can i send traffic to havp for scanning after or before dansguardian web filetr?

I know this is not what you are asking, but I'm curious why you would use HAVP instead of just using the ClamAV plugin for dansguardian?

Yes it does.

If you cannot get it working via gui, just call freshclam via crontab.

HAVP is another proxy daemon and may increase your server overload as each page will pass by three proxy deamons (dansguarian, squid and havp)

I set this up at one point for testing purposes. In that test, I just used HAVP instead of Squid…

so:

Internet <---> modem <---> pfsense <---> switch <---> AccessPoint

on pfSense:

wan <---> havp <---> dansguardian <---> lan

Basically just set HAVP port as the proxy port in the DG setup. My experience was that HAVP was slower than just doing clamav form DG. I'm curious what additional features you get with HAVP, the DG package does inlcude a script for downloading and updating the clam signature files.

Havp main page and widget, show latest viruses found. but in dansguardian, you must define report page.
