Guys, how can I change the partition names?

On NanoBSD, at boot I get a menu:

    F1 pfSense
    F2 pfSense

    F6 PXE

I'd like to have here something different in my special-purpose appliance, like

    F1 myAppli
    F2 myAppli

    F6 PXE

As far as I understood, these are partition (=slice?) names. How can I change these, what command to use?

I see the same menu on full install too, but only one item (F1) is present, but slice name is the same.

That name requires a patch to the boot loader, it cannot be changed unless you compile the images yourself.

Can't I change it in the disk image files themselves? Egy by mounting in a virtual machine?

I want to compile the images.  Which files should be changed?
