    Hi guys,

I'm currently having a problem with my master firewall, so I switched over to my slave by shutting the master down, which works fine. Now, I want to see where's the problem on my master firewall, cause I think it is physically related. Though, when I boot the master up again, he becomes master again, which I don't want to.

Is it dangerous to turn off CARP on the present slave which is acting as master? Am I going to lose some configs or is there another way around?

    Thanks!

Wy don't you just isolate your master on a switch not connected to your production network?
