I'm setting up a physical server using components from a computer. The problem is - the smallest HD I have is 1tb and I'm not one to waste 98% of space.

Is there anyway to utilize that space such as making a partition then having it as a network share? … I'm just thinking that if there were then somehow it could be a security vulnerability.

      Thanks

The only way anyone would recommend to do that would be to run pfSense in a VM and run another OS in another VM as a network share. There is no capability to it in pfSense and adding such capability is very much not recommended, though it has been done.
