I used the DN2800 MB before and it uses very low power. You can always add a 2nd NIC to it with this:

And then add an Intel PCI Express card. They are about $25. An alternative solution is to add a VLAN capable Switch.

I'm using this, with an SSD. Not silent, but very quiet. If you add the serial port header (ie for a gps clock for ntp), be sure you get the right one.
Wish it had intel nics: Every 2-6 weeks my Wan drops out, just for an instant, but my voip line goes down and stays down when that happens. The linksys PAP2T can't register with the provider until I reset the firewall states.
I realize it's probably on my ISP end (TWC cable modem) causing the WAN dropouts, but if the box had intel nics I wouldn't have that nagging doubt …

Broadcom are usually the number 2 choice for NICs.
Wasn't there a fix for this exact VoIP problem went in recently?Steve
Edit: In System: Advanced: Miscellaneous: uncheck the 'State Killing on Gateway Failure' box to have it flush the firewall states. It does require the gateway monitor to detect it's down though so make sure it's monitoring somewhere upstream of the disconnect.

Sorry for the thread hijack! That box was already unchecked, but the monitor IP was the gateway itself. I've been having the problem ever since first went to 2.1 snapshots, and I had high hopes the patch would fix the issue, but no joy yet. I've set the monitor IP to something else, but I don't see how that will help reset the states. When it happens again I'll start another thread, and/or reopen the issue in redmine
