I booted my pfSense box with the monitor attached and I got this error message evertime it powers up or powers down.

dc1 failed to force rx and tx to idle state.

    dc1 is my wan interface.
Everything works fine, I was just wondering If someone had a heads up on whats this about or whats causing it. I don't see any mention of this error on the dc(4) driver on the freebsd man page.

Well to answer my own question.
I was reading around on the freebsd mailing list and found that the message is the result of a known, but harmless, bug in dc(4). Since its not a show stopper I'll let it slide.
