Is the X750e (nanobsd) suitable for SquidGuard?

I tried installing SquidGuard on my X750e. Squid 2.7.9 has been working great, using a hard disk for the cache, but when I enabled SquidGuard 1.4_4 the machine slowed to a crawl making the web interface virtually unusable.

I have the /var partition on the hard disk, so access to the SquidGuard database installed under /var/dab shouldn't have been a problem.

Has anybody used Squid/SquidGuard on a nanobsd installation, and if so which versions, and with what config changes?

      Thanks,

      Steve

There are plenty of others using Nano to do so, not necessarily on a firebox but similar or lesser hardware.
Did it run out of ram? Are you using a huge blacklist? What's using the CPU?
I've never tried it with a hybrid Nano+HD setup like yours.

Just uninstalled/reinstalled and it seems to be working. :-)

          Thanks,
