Why does RRD have to be enabled for Mail Report?
-
I'm using 2.1 nano. I run snort, which is working ok so far. Why do I need to have RRD enabled? I thought RRD and nano was a "no no". I just want a daily email of snort activity. Maybe I need to go for the full install if I want to run snort…

That's probably a remnant of when that package used to only support sending RRD files.
RRD on Nano is fine, the RRD data is held in a RAM disk so it is only written to storage during a clean shutdown/reboot when it is archived. (Or if you setup a periodic backup)

Thanks Jim. That answers my question. As long as I can run it on nano that's awesome.

I just pushed an update to the mail reports package to get rid of that redirect (except on the page where you actually try to add an RRD graph…)
-
you have the ability to push out updates to live installs? Cool.
-
No, I updated the package in the repository – you still have to manually go and nudge it to update from System > Packages.
-
Do you do that under "reinstall package"?
-
Yes just click the 'pkg' button
