Installing packages behind proxy
-
Is there an easy way to install packages from behind a proxy server? I take it pfsense calls out via http for the package installs? I am running RC3. Thanks!

ISTR the answer is no, though I think it was discussed as a possible option in future. Search the forums for more.

Can't you do a local package install? Also, does anyone know where the FQDN is located that pfsense uses to download packages?

pfSense used xml configuration file(s), what defined how and where packages element's placed.
GUI sources and some packages placed on pfSense portal, also used public FreeBSD port's sites.ps I understood your question?

I was asking if you can do a local install of the packages since I can't connect from behind my proxy to the pfsense.com site. In other words, I pull down the packages from pfsense.com and point my pfsense box to my local web server (http://mylocalserver.com/packages) and install from there. Thanks.
