Has anyone messed with Edgewater Networks units?  Do any of you know what kind of hardware specs they have?  Are they i386 based?  Intel or Realtek nics?  I looked through the datasheets and they are less than forthcoming on hardware detail.  Most of it surrounds the software side.

Based on their hiring requirements - "Experience with Intel Xscale IXP42X processor is a strong plus."

Looks like they use ARM based processors and/ or ASIC hardware.  Possibly MIPS too.  Either way, doesn't seem like pfSense would run on those any time soon.

Indeed. I've never looked inside one but the 4200 at least is ARM.

They have number of models though, they may not all be ARM.
