      what is the status of unbound on 2.1.x with dual wan I think my isp is hijacking my dns queries

      pfsense plus 25.03 super micro A1SRM-2558F
      C2558 32gig ECC  60gig SSD

        That probably depends on what you have your settings set to do.

        If you have it set in Forwarding mode, and have no query interfaces selected, then so long as you have one NS pointing out each WAN it should be fine.

        Otherwise it gets trickier. You'd probably have to bind to localhost and use some floating rules to attempt to nudge it out alternate WANs.

          ok was curious if set to forward mode do i loose the benefit  of dnsec  as my isp is hijacking dns there outside connection can go down and can still ping opendns and googles dns and it was sending some valid sites to who knows what or where sometimes blank pages

            there are also ipv6 issues with it on 2.1.1 if i enter ipv6 on gerneral tab complains about format of conf
            hopefully can start trying 2.2 before too long

              I have no issues with IPV6 and Unbound on 2.1 or 2.1.1.
