I have an inbound TCP service which I am load balancing.  I have everything configured properly and things are working as they are supposed to.  The "problem" is that the service we are load balancing isn't really fond of having a TCP connection opened/closed every 1 or 2 seconds.  Is there any way to configure how often the PFSense machine will actively check to see if a host is alive?

In a perfect world I would prefer the PFSense machine to never actively search for dead hosts.  If it attempts to establish a TCP connection with a server and it fails it would reactively be taken from the pool… at which point checking every N seconds to bring the system back online and into the pool would be OK.

If that can't happen, i would settle for active checks 1x minute or similar.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Geoff
