Access WebConfig via Wan

  • I would like to access my webconfigurator via WAN, i currently have it setup to be able to access it from work via the public ip with a https port 8443 attached. But if I make any drastic changes that would force DHCP, I would be locked out.

I currently have OPTONLINE with a registered domain, and would like to setup one of my subdomains to be able to access my WEBGUI (preferably pfsense.guerrierhome.com).

The DDNS settings in the OPTONLINE Gui is pretty simple, so simple for me. As they expect you to know what you're doing (no instructions)

I found some information the ARP table about my dyndns.

Is there a way to make this happen.

  • Have you tried going to services - Dynam DNS -> custom and putting in the information?

    Much information is available

  • What information exactly?

  • You want to setup dynamic dns? There are many guides on google. Did you follow one? If you did what didn't work?

  • I'm trying to figure out what steps to take to use the Dynamic DNS feature provided by OOL, since it's free with my subscription. I don't want to have to setup an account with DYNDNS.com. When I can get the same thing done for free via OOL.

  • @h.guerrier:

I am not saying you have to. You need to get the information YOU need from optonline and stick it in custom configuration in the Dynamic DNS settings page on pfSense? Follow a guide you will need similar information.

possibly dyn.optonline.net used and your username + password.
