I have some problems with downloading packages on 1.2-RC3.
I'm using pfSense as a Transparant firewall

I'm trying to solve this problem, but still it isn't working :(
When I use the search, there are a lot of people that solve this problem by checking the DNS settings.
But on my pfSense system, there are no problems with the DNS configuration.
When I'm doing a ping to a IP address i'm getting this error:
            PING xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx): 56 data bytes
ping: sendto: No route to host

Everything works fine on the network.
      Only pfSense has this problem.

You have a routing problem (hint: "No route to host").

Looks like you don't have a gateway defined. Your WAN interface needs a valid IP and gateway.

if you are trying to connect through an existing firewall you will not be able to do so, as currently pfsense does not support connectig to the web through a proxy. I think this is an issue that is being looked at for version 1.3.

to clarify: it doesnt work if you connect you wan interface to internet using an existing proxy (squid or isa server, etc)
it does work through nat on routers or another pfsense without transparent proxy, a public ip is not manadatory…
