      ;)
I picked one up at the computer swap meet here for 20 bucks.  I installed pfsense on a 500mb hard drive and it works like a champ.  The biggest issue was pulling the motherboard to get to the keyboard ports to make changes to the bios. I also installed a cheapo pci vid card.  I used the live cd to install to the hard drive.  I also was playing with the ibm cf 340mb hard drives w/compact flash to ide adapter.  I didn't play with it long enough to get it working but I am sure it would. So far max states has been @ 1200 states.. cpu 6% avg, mem 20%, disk 40%. (I installed squid and squidcache is the reason for 40% the cache size is 100mb, not much).  Due to a couple of panics I disabled squidcache and squid, but it was a false alarm. I will let the endusers forget that I switched out the firewall before turning it back on.  This time they won't be aware of it. So there will be no phantom issues occurring in their minds.

Here are some quick specs.. I am doing this from memory btw..

      PIII 600 mhz
      384mb memory non-ecc
4mb flash card(pulled for the 500mb hard drive)
I installed 3 intel pro10/100 nics  it has the slots for 5. (one is used for my vid card. I believe it has space for an agp card but i didn't have one handy)
