I need to connect Laptops running Shrew with pfsense just using Mutual PSK and I need to connect remote users with iphones/ipads using Mutual Psk+Xauth

I seem only able to have one or the other.

At the moment, only one mobile IPsec profile is possible.

That is a shame, it seems to be the only program apart from very expensive Cisco kit that lets iPhones connect.

iPhones will not even connect to a Cisco RV042

You can install the OpenVPN connect app on iOS. It works great, and with OpenVPN you can have as many unique VPN profiles as you want.

That would be great, but there are dozens to choose from, do you have one in mind, I have never used openVPN before.

Dozens of what to choose from?

              I can break anything.

Open VPN apps for iPhone, just asking if you new which one I should choose, i.e. which you think is best, I will bow to your experience of Open VPN

Last I saw there was just one called "OpenVPN Connect" and it was the one that has been tested/proven to work. There is a link at the bottom of the OpenVPN client export page to the app in the App Store.

I'm pretty sure there's only one.

                    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/openvpn-connect/id590379981

As it happens I have downloaded that one.

When I did a search on OpenVpn in the app store, dozens came up.

Most were probably vendor-specific.  There's a lot of VPN providers who made their own app.  You can only use those with that particular vendor.
