I have a lot of different traffic on my network, and I usually have issues when I surf the web or do something else and one of my high bandwidth traffic applications kick in. I'd like to set up my network into a three tier system:

      High: Ports 80 and 443.
      Mid: Everything else
Low: A couple of ports used by high bandwidth applications.

I want to make it so that if I'm surfing the web and someone starts playing a game, their game won't interfere with my web surfing. Then, if someone starts downloading something (like P2P), their traffic doesn't interfere with my web surfing and gaming, no matter how fast they download.

What is the process of doing so? Before messing something up with QoS, I'd like to get someone's opinion/advice.

        I'm on the same boat.

My first advice is play with the traffic shaper wizard. Its a start!

Mine works for awhile with traffic shaper but not the way I wanted yet.

Its difficult to work with .
