I have a server on the LAN with a web application that I access by typing <ip>: <port>into the browser. Instead I'd like to access it by typing "myapp" in my web browsers. Is it possible to do in pfSense or one of its packages?</port></ip>

Answered zillion times, please use search box on the forum (NAT reflection, split DNS).

I did search the forums but couldn't find anything that answers my question. Everything was about port forwards, which didn't solve my issue. The problem is that I have multiple web apps running on that server all have different ports.

Sounds like you should additionally read the documentation that comes with your webserver concerning virtualhosts.
