This may be on the wrong place, This is related to obtaining leases not hosting DHCP services…

Maybe I'm missing something... I am allowed to lease up to 5 IP addresses via my ISP and I would like request multiple addresses on my wan interface.   In linux (I know this is BSD) you can create subinterfaces  le0.1 for example and admin that interface independently of the physical.   Is there any way to set this up in PFSense?

sub-interfaces seems like the easiest route, but I'll try other methods too.

FYI:  I'm ok with a config hack (if the interface shows up in the web gui).

      Any ideas?

      Thanks,
      WallaceBW

This is not currently possible.  You will need to install 5+ nics to make this work.  I know it's not what you want to hear, but sorry.

you cannot get dynamic IP' with carp.
            only static.

@OP: could you maybe get some static IP's from your ISP?
            then you could use VIP's.

That was a bad attempt at comedy, not a solution.

On a sidenote, pfsense (and m0n0wall) are great projects… thanks and keep up the great work.  Pfsense works in 95+% of situations and sould save small businesses thousands of dollars.
