I installed pfsense 2.1.2 under Vmware and I configured 2 interfaces Lan and Wan! i give  192.82.231.254 ip address lan of pfsense. 192.82.x.x is a real public IP address, why have you used it?
Your client computer is probably, correctly, trying to access it via the internet.
