      Hi, my pfSense 2.1-RELEASE (i386)
built on Wed Sep 11 18:16:22 EDT 2013
      FreeBSD 8.3-RELEASE-p11
      won't change password.

I navigated to pfSense > System > General Setup > however no option to change password?

This link doesn't work and it is locked so I can't update it? https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=2739.0

That must have been on a very old version of pfSense.

Indeed. If @eiger3970 is seeing this in 2.1 then upgrade!

If it's in 2.4.4 then it's almost certainly unrelated to whatevet was happening here and a new thread is more appropriate.
