Multiple dansguardian instance
-
 Hi
I want to run multiple dansguardian instance to use in different firewall rules.
How can i do it? Can i do it with a single instance and dansguardian configuration file?
 Thanks in advance

Really can't answer that question until you describe what you are trying to accomplish…

You can create acls based on ips. AFAIK, I see people using dansguardian with two squid instances but two dansguardian on the same machine, I have never used.
-
i want to use policy based content filtering and apply my policy in firewall rules (like l7 traffic shaping in pfsense).
-
there isn't ip based acls in pfsense ui. there is only Exception IP list. Can you try to include other dansguardian groups and then access Ips tab?
-
how can i define different content filter rules with ip based acls?

how can i define different content filter rules with ip based acls? When you create a group, you can associate sites, urls acls with it. Did you selected ip address authentication on dansguardian general tab?

i selected ip address auth. but how it works? in a group, you can associate site, url, .. but ip address ranges can not be associated.

I couldn't find that. can you please remember it?

Have you tried clicking, I don't know, the tab that is clearly labeled "IPs"?
-
it is exception ip list and Default dansguardian filtergroup. i want to associate ip range for a group differently.
-
It lists configured groups. If you don't have a configured group, it won't show up there. Configure a group, and go to the IPs tab.

that's right. thank you very much tim.
