      Hi there,

from time to time I run into the issue that the CPU utilization is at 100% which results in the internet being very slow, even though the pfsense webinterface is still running fine. Also the interfaces then says "unable to check for updates".

When I check "top" via ssh it looks like this: http://imgur.com/8CtcQU0
Its not always php, but also dnsmasq or dhclient that are using that much CPU time, but always in combination with check_reload_status
I'm having this problem with the releases 2.1.0 2.1.1 and 2.1.2

      I hope someone can help

try using "top -aSH" to see all of the command line arguments, those php processes could be the GUI or some other random script.

Here is the output of htop -aSH: http://imgur.com/HgkRKpD

This also happens when no device uses the webinterface
