Email Reports - No log info included
-
Hi everybody!
I configured the "Email Reports" Package to send me some logs (200-300 rows each) on a daily basis and the setup worked throughout testing and for the first few days, but since 2-3 days (coincident with updating to 2.1.3?) the eMail is still sent as configured, but all the log entries are empty:
"This is a periodic report from your firewall
Current report: ROUTER status email
Log output: Firewall (raw) (filter.log)
Log output: IPsec VPN (ipsec.log)
Log output: OpenVPN (openvpn.log)
Log output: System (system.log)"
Reinstalling the package did not solve the problem, nor deleting the job and creating it new…
Any idea what's going on? :o

… did a fresh install of the mail report package on another box with pfSense 2.1.3, same result, eMail can be sent, but no info from the the .logs is added.

I tested this on my 2.1.2 and it seems to be working for me?
If you hit "Send Now" in EDIT:Email reports, does it work? Maybe the log is getting filtered by your Mail Reader application? Try to send to a different email address.

Hi there!
It worked fine with 2.1.2 here, too ;-)
I got the eMails on the current account including the log information last week. And I can sent the eMails with the Test-button, but nowadays no info from the respective log-files are included in the eMail. Sounds strange, I know, but that's the way it is for the time being…

Hi all, there was an update 1 or 2 days ago and since then Email Reports doesn't work any more here. System: Advanced: Notifications works fine, but Email Reports not and nothing to find in any logs?!

I updated this moment from 2.0.9 to 2.0.11, but the problem remains, no .log information included in the eMail sent… :'(

Try 2.0.12 when it shows up in a few minutes. The path to clog changed between 2.1.2 and 2.1.3 and the package didn't account for that yet.

Yeah, works! party
Many thanx!
