      Hello,

I am new to pfsense and I am loving the interface that you have developed. Although, I am becoming very exasperated with this situation.

I have on interface connected to my Netgear Router with DHCP adresse (192.168.1.2) and one interface connected to my second computer via a crossover cable (192.168.2.1). The pfsense box has perfect internet access and is able to ping google and all that.

On my second computer, I can access the webgui fine, I get an IP via the DHCP installed on the LAN interface and I can resolve hostnames. The problem is that I cannot pass a single packet accross the two interfaces. I have tried a million settings…

Concerning firewall rules, I have allowed all traffic from the LAN subnet to any destination pass. All the rest is by default.

What am I missing here ?

Thank you in advance and sorry if this is a really stupid question,

      Antoine

I have seen one thing in the firewall logs. All the entries are listed as blocked and the reason listed is :

"@44 block drop in log quick all label "Defaut block just to be sure"

Same subnet on both interfaces will never work.

Might have been a leftover arp cache problem

In the future try clearing the arp cache on any neighbor devices, switches, routers, etc.
