So I am running into an issue where I cannot install packages (Such as Java… Yes don't ask... For work) on the Nano images of pfSense. If I try to install the OS as a full installation on the 4GB CF card, it gives me size errors during the installation process. I have installed the full version before on this exact card. Why is all of a sudden not working? Has something changed in pfSense 2.1.3? Maybe its larger or requires more minimum amounts of space for a full install. Can I get around this error by manually setting partition sizes instead of using the Quick/Easy installer?

      Thanks

Here's a little more information. I just tried to do a full install on the 4GB CF card. I get the following error message when using the Quick/Easy installer:

WARNING: the / subpartition should be at least 244M in size or you will risk running out of space during the installation.

Why would it be doing this???

The card has 3.7GB of recently cleaned unallocated space available…

You probably have 4GB or more of RAM.  Partition manually and omit the swap partition.

          I can break anything.

Yes I tried that too. I did the custom install, created a partition, deleted the swap space and gave all the space the /

Then completed the install by selecting "install the embedded kernel"

Everything went smoothly, and just like in several tutorials online, but when it came time to boot the CF card in the ALIX box, it failed to boot saying the mount point was all goofed up.

You did a full install on a different machine and then tried to put the card into the Alix?  Yeah, that's not going to work.  You'll need to manually specify the mount point at boot and then edit a file to make it permanent.

              I can break anything.

So it dropped you at the mountroot> prompt?

Give it the correct location for root and then edit the fstab accordingly.
