Apinger weirdness
-
So about a week ago, my apinger quality stats went to a consistent 6% packet loss.
This was run from a workstation behind pfSense:
$ ping -c 10000 -i 0.1 68.108.70.1
10000 packets transmitted, 10000 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 6.599/8.675/48.202/1.548 msThis was run from pfSense:
$ ping -c 10000 -i 0.1 68.108.70.1
10000 packets transmitted, 10000 packets received, 0.0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 5.963/8.131/63.531/1.549 msYet apinger still sees 6% loss:
68.108.70.1|68.108.70.X|WANGW|1482849|1478803|1400647590|8.084ms|6.0%|noneNot sure what to make of it.

Hmmm, that would fit into the frequent package reloads seen by some due to "gateway restarts"…

I'm not personally having resets but those threads got me looking at apinger. My uptime is 17 days. The 6% apinger loss started about 8 days ago so it's not coincident with the upgrade to 2.1.2 or 2.1.3.

It just started and then has been consistent 6% since.

Restarted apinger (killed it then saved the gateway config and applied) and now it's back to 0%.
