      Hi all,

I will build arround 50+ Alix6f2 with 3G support to provide internet access, throught captif portal,  in Autobus to our customer.

PC engine warning "3G Modem modules based on Qualcomm chipsets (most on the market) don't work reliably with the AMD CS5536 USB controller unless the USB rate is limited to 12 Mb/s !!!"

I want to know if Ericsson F5521GW is supported by lasted version of pfsense? if not what 3G mini-pci card do you recommend?

      Ps: I already check : https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Known_Working_3G-4G_Modems

      Thank you!

I have an Ericsson f5521gw (HP hs2340 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband) working on pfSense 2.1.2 on ALIX

set up PPP as per other guides.  Interface is /dev/cuaU1 (usbus1.2 - data modem) and add the init string "+CFUN=1" in ppp advanced options.  I found the modem would not connect without it.

        Hope that helps

PS. I also have a f3507g card in a thinkpad, I'll try with that too.

          Still working after 2.1.2>2.1.3 update.

Works with f3507g too (AKA Dell 5540, and v. popular with thinkpads).
