1.0 Beta 2 embedded failed boot on Soekris net4501

It can't seem to mount the root partition:
Fast IPsec: Initialized Security Association Processing.
ad0: 499MB <corsair 30="" 40x="" compactflash="" v1.1="" 06="" 03="">at ata0-master PIO4
GEOM_LABEL: Label for provider ad0d is ufs/pfSenseCfg.
Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/ufs/pfSenseManual root filesystem specification:
<fstype>:<device> Mount <device>using filesystem <fstype>eg. ufs:da0s1a
? List valid disk boot devices
<empty line=""> Abort manual inputmountroot>
At that prompt I've tried everything I can think of; ufs:/dev/ad0d, ufs:/dev/ufs/pfSenseCfg, nothing works, it immediately reboots:
panic: Root mount failed, startup aborted.
Uptime: 3m14s
Cannot dump. No dump device defined.
Automatic reboot in 15 seconds - press a key on the console to abortNow, this is a resized image to use up a 512MB compact flash card following the directions in the wiki. I have to acknowledge that perhaps I've goofed up the resize, but I'm not so sure. :</empty></fstype></device></device></fstype></corsair>

Can you try to flash the image unmodified? I guess this is a result of the resizing.

It is. Beta2 boots just fine without modifying it.

The 64MB image works. Resizing it to 512 is what did it. :\
I suppose I could go back and re-calculate the sectors I made it grow and try it again. Really wish there were a way to automate this, or just create a clone install of arbitrary size, a la Carbon Copy Cloner for OSX.
