      Hi all,
      Just tried to install pfsense on AMI UEFI BIOS on GA-J1900N-D3V and it fails.
      Anyone tried this? or had this issue before?

        In what way dopes it fail? More details please. You may have to set the bios to legacy emulation or something similar.

          hey,

          is't not able to boot.
          It boots only winsax usb/dvd not pfsense or other linux distros bedies Ubuntu/Fedora

            managed to make it boot using usb dvd.
            install and then get : Pfsense kernel panic

                  Yeah that whole thread is quite interesting including the links in it to various other forums. It looks like it is possible to get that board working it's just a PITA! Hopefully a bios update can sort it. Until then this post looks most promising:

                  Edit: I see Gigabyte have now released their F3 BIOS which is reported to be much better.
