Hi, i have pfsense running on a old PCChips mobo with AMD K6-2 processor. I works well and i would like to check the temperatures from time to time. The problem is that mbmon doesn't seem to work out of the box. This hardware isn't bleeding edge, so i assume it should be already supported.

      /usr/local/bin/mbmon -A

      InitMBInfo: Unknown error: 0
      This program needs "setuid root"!!

      ls -l /usr/local/bin/mbmon

      -r-sr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  39936 Jan  2  2007 /usr/local/bin/mbmon

      whoami

      root

      Any thoughts?

FYI mbmon will be installed with the package phpsysinfo.

FreeBSD's support for hardware monitoring has historically been, well, minimal.  This is beginning to change in 7.0, but currently it's reasonable to expect that unless the software explicitly supports your particular motherboard then it won't work.
