      Board apu1c4, with 16GB SSD, Bios: April 5 2014
      SSD: http://www.pcengines.ch/msata16a.htm

      F1  pfSense

      F6  PXE

without pressing the F1 key it will not continue.

PS: If I press 'F1' it works fine.

      I found somewhere the following:

      /sbin/sysctl kern.geom.debugflags=16
      gpart set -a active -i /dev/ad0s1a ad0
      /usr/sbin/boot0cfg -s ad0s1a -v /dev/ad0
      /sbin/sysctl kern.geom.debugflags=0

but I get errors since my HD is ad4
gpart set -a active -i /dev/ad4s1a ad4        (gpart: Invalid value for 'i' argument)

      any ideas

What happens if you try a reinstall to that hardware.

Hosted desktops and servers with support without complication.

never mind, just needed to wait for 20..30 seconds and it continued to boot.
