I am running pfSense 2.1.3 on a Lanner FW7535.  These devices with pfSense are great :)

Anyway, my question is can I use both the CF card and the Sata drive?  Currently I have pfSense running from the CF card, but I can't see way to access the sata drive that is attached.

I would like to install Snort and possibly some other plugins and have the logs save to the sata drive while still having the CF card as the pfSense drive.  Is this possible??

It depends on your BIOS settings. If the BIOS is set to AHCI and you don't load the AHCI driver then it can't see the SATA disk.

If you change the BIOS to IDE or Legacy then you can probably see it, though using AHCI is better (search around the forum for more info on that)

That isn't a supported configuration though. Your install may fail etc…  ;)
