I'm using the DNS forwarder to serve all LAN clients, and thus have the pfSense box configured as DNS server in the dhcpd settings. dnsmasq has domain overrides configured for local fwd and rev zones, querying a non-recursive authoritative local server for those addresses.

Unfortunately, the dhcpd zone will take the primary configuration for ddns updates from the same setting that's used to announce the DNS server to the dhcp clients, which makes dhcpd try to update pfSense's dnsmasq, which obviously fails.

Did I miss something? I'd have expected some "DDNS primary" entry in the Dynamic DNS section.

      Regards,
      Andreas
