Have a server on a vlan with a public IP address. The server can connect to the internet and computer on LAN can ping/connect to server.

My problem is that I cannot connect to the server from outside of the network. I did port forwarding of the correct ports, double checked the firewall rules and they were all correct. After hours of messing with it, I realized that I had a gateway problem.

The vlan is setup without a gateway. However the server is using the IP address set for the vlan as it's router address. Changing the router address on the server for that of the wan gateway, breaks all connectivity.

How do I get the server to work with the wan gateway? Or can I have multiple gateways and assign one to the server which will route traffic from outside of the network to the server?
