      Hello everyone,

      My issue is, that I do not reach my modem through pfSense.
      I followed this manual -> https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Accessing_modem_from_inside_firewall

      A ping from pfSense to the modem works.
      There are no log entries about blocking by firewall.

      As attachment some screenshots of my configuration. I hope you have an idea whats the solution.

        Try using dhcp in the modemaccess interface settings…should work
        power down and restart all...pfsense...modem..any switches in between

          The Modem is in bridge mode … so no DHCP is running on it and its not sending an DHCP request.
          I guess my NAT configuration ist the problem.

          Under Firewall: NAT: Outbound it is set to Automatic outbound NAT rule generation
          If I switch to Manual Outbound NAT rule generation I can access the modem, but Internet stops working.

          I also need to check Enable automatic outbound NAT for Reflection under System: Advanced: Firewall and NAT, so I can access my webservices from inside my LAN.

            I found the solution.

            Reading the HowTo (https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Accessing_modem_from_inside_firewall) correctly was the problem.
            The phrase Add an Outbound NAT rule as described above, includes to set Manual Outbound NAT under
            Firewall: NAT: Outbound
