Pfsense system log

Hello All,

I've just setup the pfsense box to test it out before I actually implement it into a production network. In the pfsense I have two network cards, 1) fxp0 is the LAN interface, 2) em0 is the WAN interface. I managed to get the pfsense box up and running, however I got the following log entries under the System log tab.

kernel: arp: 172.16.1.10 is on fxp0 but got reply form 00:04:80:ed:0e:7f on em0 is this normal or is there something that I did wrong? Thank you.

Sounds like you have both network cards connected to the same physical network.

Yes, that was what I did. Is this a problem?

Only if you want it to function as a firewall or router ;)
