PfSense as a bandwidth sharing tools

Hi everyone!

I work as a IT administrator in an organization. for a few years we were using gateprotect a commercial firewall to share Internet bandwidth among users. we have multiple users ranged for users that need to slower internet connection to high critical users that need to connect to the internet in full speed. I wanna know if we can use pfSense as a tool to share our bandwidth between the users of our organization.

Any comment would be appreciated.

pfSense has a traffic shaper that can manage bandwidth based on type of traffic or IP address
