I just got a new ECS LIVA to play around with and I am hitting a brick wall trying to drop pfSense on it. This is one of the new palm size boxes running an intel based SoC with built it RAM and SS drive.
I have tried both the CD-Rom ISO and the memstick IMG.
The USB loaded with the ISO is detected by the BIOS but will not boot, every time it dumps me into the BIOS.
The USB loaded with the IMG is not even detected by the BIOS.
I got ECS support involved and their tech confirmed these results with 2.1.4 on a LIVA system as well as other UEFI motherboards.
I have read dozens of threads about installing onto UEFI systems, what am I doing wrong here.
      Thanks in advance.

Any luck on getting this device to work?  I just recently bought one on deal from newegg based on a response in the Q&A section.

        http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856501007

Q: "Does it come with windows?"  A: "No it does not come with Win 8.1 or with Win 8.1 pre-installed. I got it to run pfSense (firewall based on FreeBSD) - but it would not boot the pfSense intaller"

I also found and replied to another post a few days ago, and now see that there is a response explaining some success.

I also saw in the Newegg reviews a ECS tech reply apperently this only supports 64bit OSes, so if the installer is 32bit, and the statement is accurate, that explains the problem…

There is 64-bit installer for pfSense, so it will be easy to try that.

Are you sure the installer actually 64bit and not just the resulting OS that is installed?  Because I did download and have been testing with the AMD64 builds and nothing I have done works.  It might also just be a missing efiboot files,  I haven't have time to checkout the disc structure yet.
