      Hi all,

      I recently installed a new NIC card in my pfSense box for use as a DMZ interface, but I've noticed that ever since I installed it the other day my system logs are full of the following logs (repeat about every 30 seconds):

      router php: rc.linkup: Hotplug event detected for DMZ(opt1) but ignoring since interface is configured with static IP (192.168.2.1 fd17:1be6:1536:9b0e::)
      router check_reload_status: Linkup starting re1
      router kernel: re1: link state changed to DOWN
      router check_reload_status: Reloading filter
      router php: rc.newwanip: rc.newwanip: on (IP address: 192.168.2.1) (interface: DMZ[opt1]) (real interface: re1).
      router php: rc.newwanip: rc.newwanip: Informational is starting re1.
      router check_reload_status: rc.newwanip starting re1
      router check_reload_status: Linkup starting re1
      router kernel: re1: link state changed to UP

      What might be causing this issue and is it something I should be concerned about or something I can just supress from the logs?

          @Supermule:

          Flaky switch??

          I'm going to try exchanging the device plugged into the DMZ this weekend (it's a USB -> Ethernet adapter for Wii U, rather than a switch). I hope that solves the issue!
