      please help.  where do i input the command to remove the prompt and boot faster..?

      sysctl kern.geom.debugflags=16

        I just dont know where to start..

        The how-to describes sysctl and fdisk commands, which are entered at a command prompt.  You can get a command prompt by ssh'ing into your box and choosing '8' from the menu.

        No offense, but honestly those are not the kinds of commands you want to play with while learning about pfsense.  There's a reason it's called 'foot shooting mode'.

          thank you very for your reply. now i know where to start. i'm gonna try it out. Just a learning step. if anything goes wrong i can always re-install the system, PFsense for now it just my experimental Firewall. it's not on my network yet.. i still have to learn so much to setup it up like the away i want it to act.. but i'm liking it so far..
