I'm trying to get Apache with mod_security-dev to work as a reverse proxy. I have a domain pointed at the pfSense WAN IP and I have Apache listening on port 80. I set up the first backend server, which works fine inside the LAN using the URL http://192.168.1.13:8112/ and I want to access it through the proxy as mydomain.com/subdirectory. In the Apache Locations tab, I set Site Path to /subdirectory and I set Backend Path to /.

But when I try to access it using mydomain.com/subdirectory, Apache is proxying to http://192.138.1.13:8112/subdirectory, which doesn't work. When I access it using mydomain.com/ (without any subdirectory), it proxies to http://192.138.1.13:8112, and the expected service comes up. How can I get Apache to let me use a URL of mydomain.com/subdirectory and have it proxy to http://192.138.1.13:8112 (without subdirectory)?

      Thanks in advance.

Did you find an answer to this or a workaround?
