      I have a problem with DHCP addresses not getting in to my /etc/hosts file after upgrading to "FreeBSD 8.3-RELEASE-p16"

      Everything "just worked" before but now no matter how I change the settings for the dns forwarder I can't get entries in to the hosts file.

      As a result, no DNS resolution works internally to my company network…

      Am I missing something?

        Nevermind…  the dns forwarder wasn't configured.

        I don't remember having to configure this manually last time - but all is good now.
